Real Icons of India 2010 Awards
Come
April and there was buzz of activity among management students at the
picturesque residential campus of Sai Balaji Group of Management
Institutions near Hinjewadi. The buzz was to do with the hectic
preparations for Manthan 2010 - the annual multicultural management extravaganza to be held on the April 2nd and April 3rd 2010. Towards the end of the academic year, Manthan 2010 is not only a once in life time experience
but a great rejuvenator for the young management students, as they head
for challenging summer internships to various corporates through out
the country.
Manthan
2010 is a platform to show case students management skills and talents
and enable blossoming of their complete personalities, which is the
real purpose of management education. Sai Balaji holds the distinction
to be among the first in the country to start a management institute
exclusively for women. Manthan 2010 aids to help unleash these women
leaders of tomorrow. In general the festival helps in bringing about a
sweeping positive change mindset among the future managers before they
step into the Corporate World soon. The cosmopolitan students profile
attracts a galaxy of corporate executives who would descend to the
campus this week. They would be seen engrossed in deep conversations
and in huddles with these future management talent .
The unique addition to this years Manthan 2010 was – Real Icons of India 2010 Awards. This
annual award has been instituted by Sai Balaji Group of Institutions
for recognizing the contributions of two outstanding Indians - one male
and another female. The unique criteria for selection is ‘A Meteoric Rise from a Humble Beginning’. The jury had chosen Miss Pooja Chopra – Miss India 2009 and Mr Waghmode. Both personalities have in their respective fields have excelled to deserve the honor. The Awards were presented by the Founder President of Sai Balaji Group, Mr. Manish Mundada who too has risen from humble beginnings through handwork and dedication.. The objective of the Real Icons of India 2010 Awards was to help management students understand and identify the Real Icons,
so that they could select the right idols in their corporate life
ahead.
The objective of management education is complete development and transformation of management students and hence Manthan 2010 concluded with celebration of these achievements during the year. Awards were also presented to outstanding students in various categories
viz academic, seminars, business plan and case study competitions,
business quiz, mock stock market. Awards were also given to
recognize sporting achievements. The members of UDAAN an NGO formed by
lady management Institute wing of Sai Balaji group, which has done
yeoman social service for deprived women and children in the region were specially felicitated by Miss Pooja Chopra – Miss India 2009.
